The 2024 Thornton Police Department Torch Run, Walk, or just come hang out!

The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR)

LETR is Special Olympics’ largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. Law enforcement (the Guardians of the Flame) and athletes, light the "Flame of Hope" at events and competitions throughout the state to embody unity and inclusiveness.

Each May, law enforcement agencies throughout Colorado carry the “Flame of Hope” during the Torch Run Series.

Support this cause to raise awareness and funds for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Colorado!

Open to friends and family members, too!

When & Where:

Friday May 17th, 2024 from 11 AM to 2:00 PM
Margaret Carpenter Park (112^th and Madison)

You'll choose to either run or walk a 5K or “fun run” (1 mile)

The 5K and Fun Run options both start at 11:00 a.m. Everyone will be meeting at the park near the amphitheater and playground area.

• You will need to arrive around 10/10:30 to pick-up your shirt and sign a waiver.

After the run/walk, join us for the afterparty near the amphitheater!

This event will be completely open to the public so please come support Special Olympics, TPD and come engage with the community
